1) When installing on Windows 10, the following error screen may appear:

2) When running a downloaded installer, Error 1723  with a screen similar to that shown below may appear

This message indicates a problem with permissions for the folder C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Temp, which can arise for a number of reasons. Suggested remedies are:

  • Turn off any Anti-Virus software. This may prevent installation of any software.
  • Right-click on the Temp folder in C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local and edit the Security options to add Full Control to the username you are using
  • Run the installer as Administrator by right-clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator.
